Private schools, colleges in Karachi are open on Thursday

All private schools and colleges in Karachi will remain open as usual on Thursday, a representative of private schools announced on Wednesday.

The decision was taken keeping in view the improving weather conditions in Karachi and the weakening rain system.

According to the Meteorological Department, no heavy spell of rain is expected in Karachi on Thursday.

A few more days will be required for drainage in some areas, but the situation is improving, says Haider Ali, chairman of the Private Schools Association.

There have already been more holidays than usual in August and early September, he said.
