Islamic Scholar Dr. Zakir Naik Arrives in Karachi for Lecture Series

Dr. Zakir Naik, a renowned Islamic scholar, landed in Karachi on Wednesday, accompanied by his son Sheikh Farooq Naik on a private flight. Upon his arrival, he was welcomed at the airport by Maulana Farhan Naeem, the deputy director of Jamia Binoria Alamia.

Dr. Naik’s visit to Pakistan had been planned for some time, with the scholar recently confirming his travel details. During his stay in Karachi, he is scheduled to deliver a series of lectures on various religious topics. All necessary preparations for the events have been finalized.

Tessori Welcomes Dr. Naik

Following his arrival, Dr. Naik was greeted warmly at the Governor’s House by Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, who presented him with a bouquet. The governor also led a security briefing to ensure smooth arrangements for the scholar’s visit. Senior police officials, including Additional IG Karachi Javed Alam Odho, DIG South, and DIG Traffic, participated in the meeting.

Governor Tessori stressed the importance of comprehensive and coordinated security measures, particularly for the religious gatherings Dr. Naik will be addressing. He directed that a detailed plan be implemented to manage traffic and ensure public safety.

Dr. Naik’s Enthusiasm for Visiting Pakistan

Before arriving, Dr. Naik expressed his eagerness to visit Pakistan, sharing that he had long wanted to come to the country. He noted that Pakistan had extended the most invitations for his lectures and looked forward to engaging with local religious scholars.

During his stay, Dr. Naik emphasized the significance of reading the Quran with translation, calling it a “book of peace for the entire world” that offers complete guidance on all matters. He plans to remain in Pakistan for three to four weeks.

Prime Minister Praises Dr. Naik’s Work

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended Dr. Naik for his efforts in spreading the teachings of the Holy Quran and promoting Islamic values globally. He expressed personal admiration for Dr. Naik’s work and acknowledged the impact his lectures have had, particularly on the youth.

Sharif noted that Pakistan is the only country in the world founded on Islamic principles and highlighted Dr. Naik’s role in projecting the true essence of Islam.

Dr. Naik reaffirmed his commitment to spreading Islam’s message worldwide, emphasizing that “success lies in following Islamic teachings.” Recalling his last visit to Pakistan in 1991, he shared fond memories of that trip and announced plans to visit Karachi and Lahore during this tour.

He also stated that the Quran is “the most positive book in the world” and envisioned it as the future constitution for humanity.
