ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari expressed Pakistan’s strong commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation with China in various areas of mutual interest. During a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong on Thursday, the President underscored the importance Pakistan attaches to its relationship with China.
Highlighting the vast potential for collaboration, President Zardari pointed to opportunities in trade, economy, culture, and regional connectivity. He stressed the need for joint efforts to promote peace, security, and prosperity across the region.
President Zardari acknowledged China’s unwavering support during Pakistan’s times of need and conveyed the nation’s gratitude towards its “iron-clad brother.” He also appreciated China’s significant role in Pakistan’s socio-economic development and thanked the Chinese leadership and people for their continued partnership and support.
