Pakistan Reports Two New Polio Cases Total Reaches Three
PESHASWAR: (Web Desk) – The spread of Polio in Pakistan has raised fresh concern after two new cases were confirmed in the districts of Bannu and North Waziristan. With these latest reports, the total number of cases recorded in 2026 has risen to three, according to the National Emergency Operations Center.
Health authorities say they are intensifying targeted efforts and adopting improved strategies to curb the virus and move closer to eradication. Although polio has no cure, experts emphasize that it is entirely preventable through consistent and timely vaccination.
