ISLAMABAD: A shocking report has revealed the involvement of police officials in facilitating dacoits during an operation in the Katcha area of Punjab in 2023.
The police report, led by Additional IG Special Branch, uncovers those five officials, including the SHOs of Kot Sabzal and Bhong, aided the robbers. The report highlights that some Punjab Police officials were complicit in the criminal activities.
During the operation, the report states, innocent people were killed in staged encounters, and bribes were taken. SHOs from Kot Sabzal and Bhong allegedly seized agricultural land worth crores from farmers. The SHOs extorted money from local farmers under the guise of providing security, threatening those who did not comply with dacoit attacks.

Additionally, CIA in-charge Muhammad Saleem was also found to be collaborating with the robbers, further implicating law enforcement in the criminal network.
