Case filed against PTI’s Hammad Azhar & 45 others; arrests underway

The incident follows a Kisan Convention held in Burj Dara, where Omar Ayub and Hamad Azhar addressed the attendees last night.

HAFIZABAD: A case has been registered in Hafizabad against more than 45 people, including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Hamad Azhar.

The First Information Report (FIR) accuses Hamad Azhar of making incendiary statements against the government during a speech. Former Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Shaukat Bhatti, Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Zameerul Hasan, and the district president have also been named in the case.

Police have confirmed the arrest of PTI leader Ali Amar Gujjar following the registration of the case. However, during an attempted arrest of Hamad Azhar and others, the accused ensued a brawl with the authorities.
