Lahore Police Arrest 39 Over Kite Flying During Eid Crackdown
LAHORE: (Web Desk)- Police in Lahore launched a strict crackdown on illegal kite flying during the second day of Eid-ul-Fitr, arresting 39 individuals across multiple areas of the city. The operation was carried out by Cantt police targeting those involved in kite flying and related activities.
Authorities reported that several suspects were caught on the spot with kites, strings, and other equipment. The arrests were made in areas including Harbanspura, Baghbanpura, Bhatapaur, Factory Area, Defence, and other Cantonment zones.

Akhtar Nawaz warned that kite flying poses serious risks to human life and urged parents to discourage children from engaging in such activities. He reiterated that strict action would continue against kite flyers, manufacturers, and sellers.
Police confirmed that cases have been registered against the arrested individuals, and further investigations are underway as part of a zero-tolerance policy to prevent hazardous incidents linked to kite flying.
