Lahore: (Staff Reporter) Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on Sunday while lashing out at Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz said that PML-N did injustice to the people by Punjab by stopping public projects.
The Punjab Assembly members and ticket holders from Punjab called on CM Ealhi in which the political situation and problems of the constituencies were discussed.
Announcing the upgrading of Tala Gang hospital and increasing the number of beds to 100, the Chief Minister said that development will be seen in remote areas of Punjab, adding that backward and neglected areas will be given equal development and development projects.
“The PML-N government damaged the welfare projects of my time in Punjab in political ego, and did injustice to the people of Punjab by stopping my public projects,” Elahi took a dig on PML-N bigwigs.
Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi criticized Prime Minister Shehbaz-led government in centre for disabling the Seerat Academy.
According to the details, Pakistan Ulama Council (PUC) Chairman Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi called on Ch Parvez Elahi and discussed the current situation and closure of the Seerat Academy issue.
The Chief Minister said that disabling the Seerat Academy in the Shehbaz Sharif regime was not only a disappointing but a very condemnable act.
He said this was a national project and the national exchequer was ruined by stopping it, adding that the federal rulers are thinking about their personal interests only.
He assured the council chairman that the Seerat Academy and the United Ulama Board will be restored and the classes of MPhil will be initiated in the academy.
Elahi further said that the flood-affected mosques and madrassas will also be restored and efforts will be done to create national solidarity for rehabilitation and settlement of the flood affectees.
Furthermore on this occasion, Ashrafi praised Elahi’s efforts for the flood affectees and said that his services rendered for the religion will always be remembered and cherished.
Punjab Assembly members and party ticket-holders met with Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi to discuss the ongoing political situation and the problems of their constituencies.
Those who met the chief minister included Hafiz Amar Yasir, Rasikh Elahi, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Khan Bhatti, former President Bank of Punjab Hamish Khan, MNA Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Dolah, Fauzia Bahram, Malik Fida Hussain, District President Pir Waqar Hussain, ticket holder from Sargodha Osama Mela and others were among those who met Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.
The lawmakers appreciated the steps taken by the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi to help the flood victims.
The chief minister, on the occasion, said that remote areas of Punjab including Talagang will go through a phase of development and he also announced to upgrade the hospital in Talagang by increasing the number of beds to 100.
He also pledged that he will not neglect the remote areas unlike his predecessors did in the past, rather, backward and neglected areas will be given equal development opportunities. Development plans will be formed in consultation with the members of the assembly, he added.
He further lambasted the PML-N for using the welfare projects of his time in Punjab to calm their punctured ego and abused the people of Punjab by stopping public projects initiated by him.
“During my previous tenure, I initiated many projects and development works for the convenience of the people and I will continue to do public service by the will of God,” the CM Punjab told the assembly members.
