Maulana Fazlur Rehman welcomed the Prime Minister’s remarks and, in a light tone
Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman shared a light and cordial exchange during a session of the National Assembly, drawing attention for their warm and humorous remarks.
The interaction took place when Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in the House and greeted members of both the opposition and treasury benches. He also shook hands with Maulana Fazlur Rehman, with whom he shared a pleasant and friendly conversation on the floor of the Assembly.
During the exchange, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed respect for the JUI-F chief, saying that Maulana Fazlur Rehman has always treated him with kindness and that their relationship has remained based on mutual respect. He further remarked that private conversations between them would remain confidential and would “go to the grave.”

In response, Maulana Fazlur Rehman welcomed the Prime Minister’s remarks and, in a light tone, said that if he wished, he could share those “confidential talks” in the House. He added that such exchanges reflected goodwill and political maturity.
The Prime Minister, smiling, declined the suggestion, saying that revealing such conversations could lead discussions far beyond limits and create unnecessary complications.
The brief yet notable exchange was seen as a rare moment of political warmth amid otherwise intense parliamentary proceedings.
