Saudi Arabia marks its 94th National Day today, commemorating the unification of Hijaz and Najd in 1932
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif warmly congratulated Saudi Arabia on its 94th National Day, applauding the nation’s remarkable progress under King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s leadership. He praised Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, a model for the world, highlighting the Kingdom’s emergence as a leading nation in various fields ¹.
The Prime Minister emphasized the strong historical ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, rooted in shared values. “Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have always supported each other in difficult times, and Pakistanis are grateful for Saudi Arabia’s help in achieving economic stability,” he said. Sharif expressed confidence that the brotherly relations will continue to strengthen.
To celebrate this milestone, Saudi Arabia hosted a four-day holiday, starting from Friday, September 20, with festivities including parades, fireworks, and cultural performances ² ³ ⁴. The General Entertainment Authority (GEA) organized events across the Kingdom’s cities, with Riyadh, Jeddah, and other major cities adorned in green and white decorations.
In Riyadh, the fireworks show took place at Umm Ajlan Park for seven minutes starting at 9 p.m. In Jeddah, the public watched the display at the Jeddah Promenade, while in Al-Khobar, the viewing platform will be near the northern Khobar Corniche.
