PM Shehbaz Condemns Gulf Attacks, Pledges Solidarity with Qatar

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a cordial telephone conversation with His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on March 25, 2026. During the call, the Prime Minister extended Eid ul Fitr greetings to the Amir and the brotherly people of Qatar, which were warmly reciprocated.

The Prime Minister expressed Pakistan’s serious concern over ongoing hostilities in the region, strongly condemning the attacks against Qatar and other Gulf countries. He offered condolences for the loss of lives and prayers for the injured, assuring full solidarity and support for Qatar during this challenging period.

Peace talks with Iran and the role of Pakistan

Appreciating Qatar’s restraint amid tensions, the Prime Minister highlighted Pakistan’s diplomatic outreach and peace efforts, emphasizing the importance of de-escalation and dialogue to resolve conflicts. The Amir welcomed Pakistan’s sincere diplomatic initiatives, and both leaders agreed to remain in close contact in the coming days.
