PM Shahbaz Highlights Economic Growth and Job Creation in Pakistan
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has praised the government’s economic policies, stating that the results of these efforts are now becoming visible, with increased employment opportunities and growth in various sectors. He attributed the positive changes to the government’s effective economic strategies and the hard work of its economic team.
During a recent statement, the Prime Minister noted that Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves have risen, fueled by record remittances and a significant increase in exports. He expressed satisfaction over the recent report by the Overseas Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which highlighted the growing confidence of foreign investors in Pakistan.
According to the report, the business environment in Pakistan has significantly improved. The global outlook for Pakistan, which was previously negative by 10%, has shifted to a positive 31%. The manufacturing sector’s growth has increased from 2% to 6%, signaling positive trends for potential international investors.
Prime Minister Sharif emphasized that these outcomes reflect Pakistan’s growing potential as an attractive investment destination. He also noted the positive impact of increased exports and remittances on the country’s foreign exchange reserves, further strengthening Pakistan’s economic standing.

The Prime Minister pointed out that the report shows a rise in employment opportunities, with the services sector’s growth soaring from 7% to 30%. Additionally, sectors such as cement, automobiles, fertilizers, and petroleum products have seen significant sales growth, contributing to the country’s economic progress.
He added that the increase in foreign investors’ confidence in Pakistan over the past few months sends a positive message to the global investment community. Ensuring relief for the public remains a top priority for the government, Prime Minister Sharif stated, underlining the ongoing efforts to improve the country’s economic conditions and create more job opportunities for its citizens.
