Petrol Price Jumps to Rs 275.60, Diesel to Rs 283.63 After OGRA Hike

Islamabad(Staff Reporter); The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has proposed a price increase for petroleum products in Pakistan, due to rising global oil prices and potential revenue shortfalls. The suggested price hikes include:

– Petrol: An increase of Rs 9.99 per liter, which would raise the price from Rs 265.61 to Rs 275.60 per liter.
– Diesel: An increase of Rs  6.18 per liter, which would raise the price from Rs 277.45 to Rs 283.63 per liter.

Notification regarding price hike has issued and implemented immediately after 12:00 AM today.

It’s important to note that these are merely suggestions, and the final decision will be made by the Ministry of Finance, taking various factors into account, including global market trends, revenue requirements and potential impacts on consumers.
