PCB turned down request of Mickey Arthur to serve as consultant for national cricket team
Lahore: (Sports Reporter) The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) turned down the request of noted cricket coach Mickey Arthur to serve as consultant for the national cricket team. Sources privy to the development said the PCB offered Mickey Arthur the position of full-time head coach of the national cricket team, but the latter declined offer.
According to the source, Mr. Arthur had expressed interest in serving as a consultant for the team, but the PCB had turned down his request. The English county of Derbyshire has a three-year agreement in place with the South African coach.
As per details for the national team who just faced defeat by 3-0 against England in Test series at home grounds the newly formed management committee of the PCB is looking for a full-time, qualified head coach.
