PCB Fines Naseem Shah Rs20 Million After Disciplinary Hearing Over Contract and Social Media Breach

Pakistan Cricket Board – (Web Desk) – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has shared the results of a disciplinary review involving fast bowler Naseem Shah, who was found to have breached certain terms of his central contract along with the board’s social media rules.

The PCB had formally sent Naseem a show-cause notice on 27th March 2026, clearly spelling out the issues and giving him a chance to explain his side.

After receiving and going through his response, a three-member disciplinary panel sat down with Naseem for a personal hearing on 30th March 2026 to settle the matter.

Pursuant to the hearing and evaluation of Naseem’s submissions, the Committee has determined as follows:

Whilst noting the unconditional apology tendered, Naseem is found to have breached various clauses of his central contract and a fine of Rs20 million has been imposed.

It was noted that Naseem’s social media adviser has already been terminated by him and shall be blacklisted by the PCB from associating with any player falling under the PCB’s jurisdiction.
