LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has announced cash prizes for the national women’s cricket team, including star batter Sidra Amin, following the home ODI series against South Africa.
During his visit to Qaddafi Stadium in Lahore, the PCB chairman awarded Sidra Amin Rs 2 million for scoring consecutive centuries in the series. Other team members were also rewarded with Rs 1 million each.

Sidra Amin impressed cricket fans by scoring back-to-back innings of 121 and 122 runs against South Africa.
Speaking with the women cricketers, Mohsin Naqvi encouraged the team to play freely and without pressure in the upcoming ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup. The tournament officially begins on September 30 with the opening match between Sri Lanka and India. Pakistan will play their first match against Bangladesh on October 2, followed by a highly anticipated clash with traditional rivals India on October 5.
