Passing Out Parade at PMA Kakul Marks Triumph of Leadership and Excellence

Rawalpindi: The Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul witnessed a grand Passing Out Parade, a hallmark event celebrating the culmination of rigorous training and the dawn of a new chapter for cadets.
Amidst a setting resonating with pride and honor, cadets from the 149th PMA Long Course, 14th Mujahid Course, 68th Integrated Course, and 23rd Lady Cadet Course stood tall as they passed out with flying colors. Adding to the prestige of the occasion, 49 cadets from friendly countries were also among the distinguished graduates.
The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI (M), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, as the Chief Guest, and General Metin Gürak, Chief of the Turkish General Staff, as the Guest of Honour. Their presence underscored the camaraderie and mutual respect shared between nations in the pursuit of excellence in military training.
General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, in his address, lauded the legacy of PMA as a cradle of leadership and a beacon of excellence. He emphasized the Academy’s pivotal role in nurturing not only the finest officers for the Pakistan Army but also fostering international cooperation through the training of cadets from friendly nations.
The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of awards, recognizing outstanding cadets for their exceptional performance. The prestigious Sword of Honour was bestowed upon Academy Senior Under Officer Muhammad Nauman Abdullah, while the President’s Gold Medal adorned Company Senior Under Officer Muhammad Abdullah Javed, both from the 149th PMA Long Course. Additionally, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Overseas Gold Medal was awarded to Friendly Country Senior Under Officer Fahad Bin Aqil Al Towarqi Al Fallaj from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, symbolizing the enduring bonds of friendship between nations.

Furthermore, the COAS Cane was deservedly conferred upon Course Under Officer Ilyas Khan of the 14th Mujahid Course, acknowledging his leadership and dedication. The Commandant’s Canes were also proudly presented to Course Junior Under Officer Danish Sattar of the 68th Integrated Course and Course Under Officer Sher Bano of the 23rd Lady Cadet Course, recognizing their exemplary commitment to duty and service.
