Wales — Pakistani footballer Mariam Mahmood has officially joined Wrexham AFC Women on a one-year contract, marking a major step forward in her career and a proud moment for Pakistan’s growing women’s football scene.

The 21-year-old striker, who recently impressed with two goals in Pakistan’s AFC Women’s Asian Cup qualifiers, now enters the top tier of Welsh women’s football — the Adran Premier. Prior to this move, Mariam made 80 appearances for English club West Bromwich Albion Women.
