Pakistani Girls’ Hockey Team Excels in Turkey Series Under IBCC Leadership

ISLAMABAD: The Inter-Boards Sports Pakistan Girls’ Hockey Team, led by Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah, Executive Director of the Inter-Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) Islamabad, recently concluded a tour to Turkey. The team participated in a three-match series against the Turkish Under-16 National Hockey Team.

In the first match, the Turkish girls’ team emerged victorious with a score of 2-1. Shanze, the captain of the Pakistani team, scored the lone goal for Pakistan. The second match saw a strong performance from the Pakistani team, who won 1-0 with a goal by Sawera.

The third and final match of the series showcased exceptional skills from both teams. Despite a commendable effort from the Pakistani side, with Sabah and Tayyaba each scoring a goal, the Turkish team clinched the series by winning the match 3-2.

The Turkish National Hockey Federation organized the series with great success. Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah, addressing the closing ceremony, emphasized that international competitions not only promote a healthy body and mind but also foster international friendships. He praised the young women from both countries for their extraordinary skills, determination, and teamwork, which made the tournament a resounding success.
