Pakistan Women Storm Into Asia Cup Semi-Finals
Nashra Sindhu’s Record Spell Sends Pakistan Women Into Asia Cup Semi-Finals
DUBAI: (Sports Reporter) – Pakistan Women secured a place in the semi-finals of the Women’s Asia Cup with a commanding 72-run victory over Hong Kong Women in Dubai.
Batting first after being put into the crease, Pakistan posted 143 for 8 in 20 overs. Shawal Zulfiqar top-scored with 47 runs, while Ayesha Zafar contributed 26. Captain Fatima Sana added an unbeaten 24 to help Pakistan set a competitive target.
Hong Kong’s chase, however, quickly fell apart under a devastating spell from Pakistan spinner Nashra Sindhu. The Hong Kong batting lineup was bowled out for just 71 runs, handing Pakistan a comprehensive victory.

Nashra produced a sensational performance, claiming six wickets for just seven runs. Her figures marked the best bowling performance in Pakistan Women’s T20 cricket history and proved decisive in securing the victory.
The 72-run win booked Pakistan’s place in the semi-finals, where they will face Sri Lanka Women on September 11.
Pakistan will now look to carry the momentum from their dominant victory into the knockout stage as they continue their campaign for the Asia Cup title.
