Pakistan weather forecast: Summer’s heat to continue, sporadic rain expected

In Punjab, the weather is likely to remain hot and humid in most districts.

Islamabad: On Monday, the weather is likely to remain hot and humid in most parts of the country. However, there is a possibility of rain with thundershowers at a few places in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pothohar region, Islamabad, Northeast Punjab, Northeast and South Balochistan, Southeast Sindh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.

Going region by region, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts that in Islamabad and surrounding areas, hot and humid weather is expected during the day, with strong winds, thunderstorms, and rain likely in the evening and night in some areas.

In Punjab, the weather is likely to remain hot and humid in most districts. However, a few places in Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Talagang, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot and Narowal may experience strong winds, thunderstorms, and thundershowers.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the weather is likely to remain hot and humid in most plain districts. However, there is a possibility of strong winds, thunderstorms, and thundershowers in Dir, Swat, Chitral, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Battagram, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Khyber, Mohmand, Bajaur, Mardan, Peshawar, Waziristan and Kurram.

In Sindh, the weather will remain hot and humid in most districts. However, there is a possibility of rain and thunderstorms in Tharparkar, Umarkot, Mirpur Khas, Sanghar, Hyderabad, Ghotki and surrounding areas.

In Balochistan, the weather is likely to remain hot and humid in most districts. However, in the evening and night there is a possibility of wind, thunderstorms, and thundershowers in Zhob, Barkhan, Musakhail, Sherani, Loralai, Kohlu, Jhal Magsi, Khuzdar, Lasbela and Gwadar.

In Kashmir, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy with gusty winds and thundershowers. Likewise, in Gilgit-Baltistan, it is expected to remain partly cloudy with strong winds and thundershowers.
