Karachi: In a powerful demonstration of solidarity and compassion, Pakistan is dispatching its eighth relief consignment to Gaza, extending a helping hand to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people amidst challenging circumstances.
The 400-ton shipment, comprising essential food items, medical supplies, and other relief goods, will embark from Karachi port to Port Said in Egypt, marking another milestone in Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to supporting the people of Gaza.
A poignant handing-over ceremony was organized at Karachi port, where Palestinian Ambassador Ahmad Rabaie graciously received the consignment. The event was attended by dignitaries including Additional Foreign Secretary Ambassador Ahmed Amjad Ali, representatives of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), and various relief organizations, reflecting the collective effort and solidarity in addressing humanitarian crises.
The solemn occasion served as a reminder of the shared humanity that transcends borders and nationalities, with Pakistan reaffirming its dedication to standing by its Palestinian brothers and sisters in their time of need.
Upon reaching Port Said, the shipment will be entrusted to the Ambassador of Pakistan to Egypt, who will oversee its transfer to the Egyptian Red Crescent for onward delivery to Gaza. This collaborative effort underscores the importance of international cooperation in providing timely and essential assistance to vulnerable communities.
