Pakistan & Saudi Arabia Sign Hajj 2025 Agreement in Jeddah
RIYADH: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have officially signed an agreement for Hajj 2025, promising improved services and facilities for Pakistani pilgrims. The signing took place in Jeddah during the ongoing four-day International Hajj Conference, alongside the Hajj Expo, which aims to foster further agreements to enhance the pilgrimage experience.
Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Chaudhry Salik, and the Saudi Minister of Hajj signed the agreement, confirming that 189,210 Pakistani pilgrims will participate in Hajj this year, as announced by a Ministry of Religious Affairs spokesperson.
Several new initiatives were introduced as part of the agreement to improve the pilgrimage experience for Pakistanis:
- Dedicated Spaces in Mina: Pilgrims will have access to exclusive spaces with reduced rates, ensuring affordability and comfort.
- Flexible Hajj Duration: A new 20-25 day Hajj program has been introduced, allowing pilgrims to adjust their schedule according to preferences.
- Stay in Medina: Pilgrims will stay in Medina for 4 to 8 days and can choose their accommodation based on personal preferences.
- Personalized Pilgrim Kits: Each pilgrim will receive a specially designed bag featuring the Pakistani flag, a QR-coded identity tag, and all necessary information.
- Mobile Application: A dedicated app will provide live maps, essential updates, and locations, further enhancing the Hajj experience for Pakistani pilgrims.
These measures aim to make the Hajj experience more accessible, comfortable, and personalized for all pilgrims from Pakistan.
