Pakistan, Saudi Arabia Deepen Cybersecurity Cooperation with New MoU

RIYADH: (News Desk) – Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have agreed to strengthen cooperation in cybersecurity through a new memorandum of understanding (MoU), aimed at improving coordination and enhancing the security of cyberspace in both countries.

The agreement was signed in Riyadh between Saudi Arabia’s National Cybersecurity Authority and Pakistan’s Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunications.

The MoU was formally signed by Eng. Majid bin Muhammad Al-Masjid, Governor of the Saudi National Cybersecurity Authority, and Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Pakistan’s Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunications.

Under the agreement, the two countries will work together to strengthen cybersecurity capabilities, protect cyberspace and safeguard critical national interests. The partnership will also support the exchange of technical expertise, knowledge and best practices between the two sides.

The cooperation is expected to help Pakistan and Saudi Arabia improve their ability to respond to evolving cyber threats and strengthen preparedness against potential risks targeting digital infrastructure.

Saudi officials said the initiative reflects the Kingdom’s continued efforts to expand international partnerships and promote greater cooperation in cybersecurity.

The latest agreement adds another dimension to the longstanding relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, with both countries seeking closer collaboration in emerging technology and digital security.
