Pakistan Railways Suspends Operations Amid Jaffar Express Terrorist Attack

Railways Cancels Two Trains, Passengers Adjusted to Alternatives

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Railways (PR) has temporarily suspended all train operations between Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan following the terrorist attack on the Jaffar Express. Both passenger and freight train services will remain halted until security and law enforcement agencies confirm that the situation in Balochistan has returned to normal.

The attack on the Jaffar Express sent shockwaves through the country, with citizens praying for the safety of all passengers, crew members, and others affected. In response to the situation, railway teams, at the request of security authorities, arranged a special train to transport security personnel from Sibi to the attack site for further investigation.

According to media reports, the Jaffar Express (down) departed from Lahore at 5:30 PM on Tuesday but will terminate at Sukkur/Rohri instead of continuing to Quetta due to security concerns.
