Pakistan Penalised for Slow Over-Rate in England Test
Pakistan Fined 50 Percent Match Fees, Lose 11 WTC Points
LONDON: (Sports Desk) – Pakistan’s difficult Test series against England has been followed by another setback, with the national side fined for maintaining a slow over-rate during the third and final Test.
The Pakistan team was fined 50 percent of its match fees after falling short of the required over-rate during the decisive Test.
The penalty also came with a significant cost in the World Test Championship (WTC) standings, as Pakistan were docked 11 WTC points, leaving them with just 5 points overall.

According to the International Cricket Council (ICC), Pakistan bowled 11 overs fewer than the required number within the allotted time during the third Test at Edgbaston.
The breach was dealt with under the ICC Code of Conduct, while Pakistan Test captain Babar Azam admitted the offence, bringing the penalty proceedings to a close.
The deduction further compounds Pakistan’s disappointment after England completed a 3-0 series sweep in the three-match Test series.
