Pakistan Navy & Excise Directorate Seize Liquor Worth Rs 350 Million in Joint Anti-Narcotics Operation

KARACHI, July 8, 2025: In a major counter-narcotics operation, the Pakistan Navy, in collaboration with the Directorate of Excise, Taxation & Anti-Narcotics (South Zone Balochistan) and the Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre (JMICC), successfully seized a large consignment of liquor off the coast of Gadani. The estimated value of the seized contraband is Rs 350 million.
According to the Directorate General Public Relations (Navy), the operation was launched after credible intelligence inputs regarding smuggling activity through sea routes originating from international waters. The swift and coordinated action resulted in the confiscation of the illicit cargo before it could enter Pakistani territory.
The seized liquor has been handed over to the Directorate of Excise, Taxation & Anti-Narcotics (South Zone Balochistan) for further legal action and investigation.
