PTA Releases Updated Tariffs After Mobile Package Price Hikes

ISLAMABAD: (News Desk) – Mobile network operators across Pakistan have increased the prices of call and internet packages, while the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has issued updated tariff details for 15 hybrid and data-only packages.

According to PTA, the prices of several mobile packages have gone up by up to 33%, making monthly call and data bundles costlier by as much as Rs500. The revised tariffs include increases of up to Rs300 for 15-day packages, Rs130 for weekly hybrid bundles, Rs21 for three-day packages, Rs20 for two-day packages, and Rs5 for one-day hybrid offers.

The telecom regulator has also upgraded its Consumer Awareness section to help users make better decisions. The updated platform provides revised tariff sheets, package prices, validity periods, benefits, and quarterly details of different hybrid and data-only packages, enabling consumers to compare available offers from various operators.

PTA stated that ensuring transparency in the telecom sector and protecting consumer interests remain among its key priorities.
