Festival at Katas Raj Promotes Interfaith Harmony and National Integration

ISLAMABAD: — The Pakistan Minority Youth Festival 2025 was successfully held at the historic Katas Raj Temples, bringing together over 100 young leaders from various minority communities across Pakistan. The event aimed to promote interfaith harmony, youth leadership, and national unity.

The festival saw participation from Christian, Hindu, Sikh, and other minority groups, underscoring the importance of inclusivity and diversity in Pakistan. Federal Secretary for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Dr. Syed Ata Urahman, attended the event as the chief guest, alongside Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, and several other key representatives from the federal and provincial governments.

The festival featured dialogue sessions, cultural performances, and workshops, all focused on fostering mutual respect and understanding between different faiths. Dr. Urahman emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring equal rights for all religious communities in Pakistan, highlighting that the country fully supports initiatives that promote social harmony and national integration. He also noted that the Katas Raj Temples serve as an important center for interfaith organizations, with the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) working on a master plan for the temple’s renovation and improvement.

Provincial Minister Ramesh Singh Arora highlighted the role of minority communities in Pakistan’s development, emphasizing that a prosperous Pakistan requires the inclusion and active participation of all its people.

In his address, Saifullah Khokhar, Additional Secretary of Shrines at the ETPB, provided insights into the Katas Raj Temples and ongoing development efforts at the site.

Albert David, Director of SALT (Social Awareness and Leadership Training), praised the youth for their passion and vision, calling them the “bright future” of Pakistan.
