Rawalpindi: (Web Desk) – Security forces in Pakistan successfully killed 13 Indian-backed Khawarij militants during a series of intelligence-based operations across different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported.
Between March 6 and 7, security forces conducted five separate operations targeting militant hideouts in the province. Clashes during these operations led to the deaths of 13 militants affiliated with the Khawarij.

In Bajaur, an intelligence-based raid targeted a Khawarij hideout, resulting in five militants killed after a fierce exchange of fire. Meanwhile, three militants linked to Fitna al-Khawarij were neutralized during operations in Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan.
Additionally, five militants were killed in two separate clashes in the districts of Khyber and South Waziristan. Security forces also recovered arms and ammunition from the militants, who had reportedly been involved in multiple terrorist acts in the region.
The ISPR emphasized that despite challenges along the Afghanistan border, Pakistan’s counter-terrorism operations continue unabated. Security forces remain committed to safeguarding the country’s borders and eliminating terrorism.
The Pakistan Army confirmed that the operations form part of the ongoing sanitization campaign “Azm-e-Istiqab,” aimed at removing Indian-sponsored Khawarij militants. Security and law enforcement agencies will continue efforts until terrorism in the region is fully eradicated.
