Pakistan Fight Back as Shafique Hits Century Against West Indies

Port of Spain: (Sports Reporter)  – Pakistan continued their first innings on the third day of the second Test against the West Indies, reaching 315 for six at the latest update, but remained 29 runs behind the hosts’ first-innings total.

Pakistan resumed play at 266 for two and appeared in control initially, but a sudden collapse saw four wickets fall quickly, slowing their momentum in the crucial Test encounter.

Captain Babar Azam played a valuable innings of 88 runs before departing, while Awais Zafar, Salman Ali Agha and Mohammad Rizwan failed to make a significant contribution. Rizwan was dismissed after scoring 11 runs.

Abdullah Shafique remained the key figure for Pakistan, producing a determined unbeaten century. His impressive 129-run knock has kept Pakistan’s hopes alive as they look to take a first-innings lead.

Sajid Khan was unbeaten on one run alongside Shafique as Pakistan continued their fight to surpass the West Indies total and gain an advantage in the second Test.
