Pakistan Exposed False Narratives, Strengthened Regional Ties During China Visit: FM Ishaq Dar

China Reaffirms Support on Kashmir; Strategic Dialogue to Be Held in Islamabad

Islamabad — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, in a key press conference following his recent official visit to China, stated that Pakistan remains steadfast in countering false narratives and enhancing diplomatic engagement across the globe.

Dar said the visit to China was undertaken on the special invitation of the Chinese Foreign Minister and involved a series of high-level meetings aimed at deepening bilateral ties. He noted that from April 23 to May 10, he maintained contact with representatives of nearly 60 countries, effectively countering baseless propaganda and presenting Pakistan’s stance to the international community.

Addressing regional tensions, the Foreign Minister said, “We gave a clear message to India: Pakistan fears no one. If we decide to retaliate, we will do so openly—not with cowardice.” He emphasized that India’s false narrative was strongly challenged through active diplomacy.

Speaking on Kashmir, Dar confirmed that China has once again reiterated its support for Pakistan’s position on the issue. He also announced that the next session of the Pakistan-China Strategic Dialogue will be held in Islamabad, with the Chinese Foreign Minister accepting the invitation to visit.

During his China visit, Dar also participated in a trilateral meeting between the foreign ministers of Pakistan, China, and Afghanistan. Discussions covered key issues including the Afghan refugee situation, regional security, and trade.

He highlighted the successful implementation of agreements reached during his April 19 visit to Kabul, dismissing claims that Pakistan fails to act on diplomatic commitments. “Recent actions prove that we not only make decisions but also follow through on them,” he asserted.
