Pakistan Condemns Houthi Missile Attacks Near Makkah and Madinah

Islamabad Reiterates Solidarity With Saudi Arabia After Attacks

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) Pakistan has strongly condemned the Houthi ballistic missile attacks targeting Saudi Arabia’s Makkah and Madinah regions, including areas near Islam’s holiest sites.

In a statement issued in Islamabad on Monday, Foreign Office spokesperson Sajjad Haider Khan said the attacks, which took place on October 24, constituted a serious violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He added that targeting areas near the holy sites showed disregard for their religious sanctity and posed a threat to civilian safety.

“Pakistan reiterates its unwavering solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its firm commitment to the Makkah Alliance,” the spokesperson said.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast support for Saudi Arabia’s security, stability and defence against external aggression and threats, particularly concerning the protection of the Two Holy Mosques. The spokesperson also praised the vigilance and effectiveness of Saudi air defence forces in responding to and countering the attacks.
