Birmingham: Pakistan’s champions clinched a resounding victory over West Indies champions by 30 runs in a thrilling match at the World Championship of Legends tournament. Opting to bat first, Pakistan posted a formidable 194 runs for 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
Shoaib Malik led the charge with a brilliant 54 runs, supported by Sharjeel Khan (35), Aamir Yameen (29), and Shahid Afridi (16), setting a challenging target for the West Indies side.
In response, the West Indies champions fought hard but managed to score 165 runs for 9 wickets, falling short of the target. Dwayne Smith’s valiant 65 and Jonathan Carter’s 34 were the standout performances for their team.
