Pakistan vs India – (Staff Reporter/Web Desk) – Pakistan beat India volleyball in a one-sided Asian Games 2026 quarter-final on Thursday. The Green Shirts won 3-0 at the Okazaki Chuo Sogo Park Gymnasium in Japan.

The big clash drew plenty of attention from fans on both sides. Pakistan made sure they went home happy.

Pakistan took control from the first point. They won the opening set 25-19 in just 23 minutes.

India looked rattled early. Pakistan’s attack was sharp, and their defence rarely gave the opponents a chance to settle.

The second set was far tighter. India fought back hard and pushed Pakistan all the way. The set lasted 34 minutes.

Pakistan stayed calm under pressure. They held their nerve and took it 25-23. That close win put them one set away from victory.

The third set belonged to Pakistan. They had the momentum and used it well. They won 25-18 in only 25 minutes to seal the match.

Ali Usman Faryad also played a big part. He added 13 points. Mohammad Hammad chipped in with nine.

The numbers show how well Pakistan played. They scored 75 attack points, while India managed 60. Pakistan also won the battle at the net with five blocks to four.

India did have some bright moments. They won more points on serve. They also forced 20 errors from Pakistan, one more than Pakistan forced from them. It was not enough to change the result.

This win capped a strong tournament for Pakistan. They began with a 3-1 victory over Kazakhstan. They then beat Uzbekistan 3-0, which sent them into the knockout stage with a match to spare.

Their last pool game was tougher. Hosts Japan beat them 3-0. Japan are among the favourites for gold, along with defending champions Iran.

That loss did not hurt Pakistan’s confidence. The team came back strongly against India and showed they can handle big matches.

Fans will now look forward to Pakistan’s next game. A medal is within reach, and the players will want to keep this form going.

For now, the Green Shirts have every reason to celebrate. Beating India in straight sets on a big stage is a result the team and its supporters will remember.
