KPT Waterfront Development Karachi Set to Become Regional Maritime Hub
Pakistan & KSA – (Web Desk) – Pakistan has taken a major step forward with the KPT waterfront development Karachi project, signing a key MoU with Saudi and local partners to build a world-class maritime business district.
The memorandum was signed between Karachi Port Trust, Saudi Business Council-NAJD Gateway Holding Company, Arif Habib Dolmen REIT Management Limited, and the Pakistan Corporate Consortium.
Federal Maritime Affairs Minister Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry announced the deal, calling it a transformative opportunity for Pakistan’s port economy.
The proposed development will be built on a 140-acre KPT site along MT Khan Road in Karachi. The project aims to create modern commercial infrastructure and attract large-scale investment to the area.
Minister Chaudhry confirmed that all legal and regulatory requirements under Pakistani law will be fulfilled before the project moves forward.

Members of the Saudi delegation also showed strong interest in broader maritime cooperation, including possible involvement in port infrastructure and related sectors across Pakistan.
The minister described the initiative as part of wider efforts between Islamabad and Riyadh to strengthen economic ties in ports, logistics, and trade.
