Pakistan and Afghanistan agree to a fragile week-long ceasefire.
Pakistan vows to continue its decisive anti-terror operations and protect its borders from cross-border threats.
Pakistan – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) – Pakistan’s Defense Minister, Khawaja Asif, has firmly dismissed recent statements from the Afghan Taliban. He called them false and harmful, saying they are meant to mislead people. Despite these claims from Kabul, he promised that Pakistan will not stop its strong actions against terrorism and threats crossing its borders.
The minister stated that the Taliban’s untrue words do not change what is happening on the ground. He explained that Pakistan’s plans for keeping the country safe are agreed upon by everyone. The nation, its political leaders, and its armed forces are all working together in complete unity on this important matter.
He mentioned that Pakistan has a clear and full plan for dealing with Afghanistan. This strategy focuses on stopping violence that crosses the border and encouraging peace in the region. The minister reaffirmed that the entire country stands together when it comes to security.
The people of Pakistan, especially those in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, understand the situation well. They know that terrorism, supported by India, is being helped from within Afghanistan under the Taliban’s rule. The minister stated clearly that there is no confusion about this fact. He said the Afghan regime’s refusals are just an attempt to hide the truth.
Minister Asif also criticized the Taliban’s government, calling it unrepresentative and divided. He said the group continues to hurt women, children, and minorities in Afghanistan. They are denying people their basic rights, like going to school and having a voice.
Even after four years in power, the Taliban have not kept the promises they made to the world. To cover up their internal fights and failure to govern, they are using aggressive talk and spreading false stories. The minister accused them of acting on behalf of outside forces.
In closing, he reiterated that Pakistan’s policy towards Afghanistan is based on its own national interest and a desire for regional stability. Pakistan will keep taking firm steps to protect its people and end cross-border terrorism. Trust, he said, can only be built with real actions, not just words. Pakistan’s determination to fight this dangerous ideology is strong and unwavering.
