Pakistan Air Force Wins National Volleyball Championship After Twelve Years Triumphantly
ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) 25 May 2026: Pakistan Air Force secured a remarkable victory in the 55th Men’s National Volleyball Championship 2026 by defeating Pakistan Navy in an electrifying final at the POF Sports Complex, Wah Cantt. The prestigious tournament, featuring 16 leading departmental and regional teams from across Pakistan, was held from 18 to 23 May and showcased the country’s top volleyball talent in highly competitive matches.
The final between Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Navy delivered a thrilling contest filled with intensity, skill and determination. After losing the opening set 16-25, PAF made an impressive recovery and dominated the following three sets with scores of 25-21, 25-21 and 25-18 to register a memorable 3-1 victory. With this achievement, Pakistan Air Force reclaimed the national volleyball title after a gap of 12 years.
PAF Chief Visit Turkey to Strengthen Defence and Drone Ties
PAF displayed exceptional consistency and discipline throughout the championship. The team entered the final unbeaten and without conceding a single set, including a commanding straight-sets victory over defending champions WAPDA in the semifinal.
Captain Chief Technician Fahad Raza played a pivotal role in PAF’s title-winning campaign and was named both Best Player of the Match and Best Player of the Tournament for his outstanding all-round performance. Chief Technician Afaq Khan also earned recognition for his brilliant performances and received the Best Outside Hitter award.
The historic triumph highlights Pakistan Air Force’s continued commitment to sporting excellence, teamwork and the promotion of a healthy competitive environment alongside professional excellence.
