Sindh Completes Over 9,000 Development Projects, Thousands Ongoing

KARACHI (Web Desk) – Senior Minister Sindh Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that thousands of development schemes have been completed across the province, reflecting the government’s focus on delivery and quality. Speaking to the media in Karachi, he revealed that out of more than 13,000 launched projects, 9,193 have already been completed in different sectors.

He explained that major work is currently underway in health, education, agriculture, roads, irrigation and social development, with Rs 367 billion being utilized through foreign assistance and Rs 76 billion under the federal Public Sector Development Programme.

Sharjeel Memon stressed that the Sindh government’s development strategy is not limited to launching new schemes but prioritizes timely completion and maintaining high standards. He added that all departments have been instructed to complete ongoing projects before initiating new ones.

Highlighting progress in Karachi, he said the rapid execution of development work and improved quality standards are key elements of the government’s vision. Projects under the Karachi Neighborhood Improvement Project have upgraded roads, parks, drainage systems, sewage networks and street lighting, leading to noticeable improvements in residents’ daily lives.

He further said that, on the chief minister’s directives, urban master plans are being strictly enforced to curb unplanned construction. Under the Sindh Municipal Services Delivery Program, water supply, waste collection and wastewater management have also improved in Jacobabad and several other cities. He concluded that real development lies in delivering projects on time, maintaining quality and ensuring tangible benefits for the public.
