Over 61,000 Pakistani pilgrims arrive in Saudi Arabia for Hajj

Officials said 141 flights were operated for Madinah, while 103 flights landed in Jeddah.

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): More than 61,000 Pakistani pilgrims have arrived in Saudi Arabia under the government Hajj scheme as the country’s Hajj flight operation crossed the halfway mark.

According to official figures, 61,147 pilgrims have so far reached Saudi Arabia out of the total 119,000 pilgrims travelling under the government scheme, accounting for over 51 percent of the operation.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has arranged a total of 468 scheduled flights for the Hajj operation, of which 244 flights have already been operated.

Officials said 141 flights were operated for Madinah, while 103 flights landed in Jeddah.

Pakistan launches digital scoring system for Hajj staff

Around 58,000 Pakistani pilgrims are still awaiting departure, while only 10 days remain in the 34-day Hajj flight operation.

The last Hajj flight from Pakistan is scheduled to depart on May 21, 2026.

According to the ministry, nearly 1,288 Hajj volunteers are currently performing duties to facilitate pilgrims during the operation.

Meanwhile, 25,782 Pakistani pilgrims have so far offered prayers at Riaz-ul-Jannah.

Pakistan International Airlines, Airblue, AirSial and Saudia are participating in the Hajj operation.

Flight operations have been carried out from multiple cities across Pakistan, including 129 flights from Islamabad, 124 from Karachi, 104 from Lahore, 34 from Multan, 26 from Sialkot, 23 from Faisalabad, 18 from Quetta and five from Sukkur.
