Anmol Pinky Acquitted: Karachi Court Clears Her in 2021 Drug Case

Anmol Pinky – (Staff Reporter/Web Desk) – A Karachi court has formally announced that Anmol Pinky acquitted in a 2021 narcotics case, closing one chapter of her long legal battle. The Additional District and Sessions Court South approved her acquittal plea after hearing arguments from her defence team.

The case dates back to 2021, when it was registered at Guzri Police Station. At the time, Anmol was named as a suspect largely on the basis of statements given by two other accused people in the matter.

Her lawyer told the court that those two co-accused, Ali and Fehmida, had already walked free from the same case back in 2024. With their acquittal already on record, the defence argued there was simply not enough proof left to hold Anmol responsible.

The judge agreed. After reviewing the arguments, the court accepted the plea and granted Anmol’s acquittal in this particular case. It marks a small legal win for her, even as bigger troubles continue elsewhere.

Arrest and Recovery in Garden Area

Anmol’s name became widely known after her arrest on May 12, 2026. She was picked up during a joint raid carried out by Karachi police and a federal intelligence agency in the city’s Garden area.

Police say the operation was significant. Officers claim they recovered close to 1.5 kilograms of cocaine from the scene. Along with the drugs, a 9mm pistol was also seized.

Investigators additionally reported finding chemicals that are commonly used in preparing cocaine. This recovery formed the basis for a wider probe into her alleged activities.

Linked to Multiple Cases Across Sindh and Lahore

Once her arrest made headlines, authorities began connecting her to a much larger web of criminal cases. These cases span not just Karachi, but other parts of Sindh as well as Lahore.

Interestingly, the exact number of cases tied to her name has kept shifting. Different officials and investigation stages have quoted different figures over time.

A more concrete number came in July, when the Counter Terrorism Department submitted an interim challan. That document listed a total of 21 cases connected to Anmol.

Police describe Anmol as a central figure in an organised drug trafficking network. According to investigators, she allegedly played a coordinating role in moving narcotics across different cities.

The charges against her go beyond narcotics alone. Police records also mention weapons violations, along with far more serious allegations of attempted murder and murder in separate cases.

It’s important to note that these are still allegations at this stage. None of them have resulted in a conviction, and the matters remain before the courts for further proceedings.

What This Acquittal Actually Means

Her acquittal in the 2021 Guzri case does not clear her name entirely. It simply means that, in this one specific case, the prosecution’s evidence did not hold up in court.

Legal experts often note that acquittals tied to weak witness testimony, like the one seen here, are common when key witnesses or co-accused have already been cleared earlier.

For Anmol, this ruling brings limited relief. She remains entangled in numerous other legal battles, some of which carry far heavier potential consequences than the case she just won.

As the CTD and other agencies continue building their cases, her legal journey through Sindh and Punjab’s courts is far from over. More hearings, and possibly more headlines, are expected in the months ahead.
