MDCAT 2026 Registration Surpasses 138,000 As PMDC Announces Test Schedule

ISLAMABAD: (Special Reporter) – More than 138,000 students have registered for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2026, according to the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).

The PMDC announced that the nationwide entry test will be conducted on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at 10:00 am simultaneously across Pakistan.

The council said different medical universities have been assigned responsibility for conducting the examination in their respective regions. The University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore, will organize the test in Punjab, while IBA Sukkur will manage the examination process in Sindh.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Khyber Medical University (KMU) will conduct MDCAT 2026, whereas Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences, Quetta, will oversee arrangements in Balochistan.

For candidates from Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Pakistani students appearing from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the test will be conducted by Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU), Islamabad.

To provide additional support for candidates from Balochistan, Bolan University will establish a special MDCAT examination centre in Islamabad. The facility will be reserved for applicants holding Balochistan domicile.

The PMDC further stated that regular-fee registration remained available until July 13, while candidates could submit applications with a late fee until July 18.
