‘Opposition rejects poll reforms, PDMA without reading draft proposal’

Staff Reporter – Islamabad:

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari were opposing the election reforms and Pakistan Media Development Authority without reading a word of the draft proposals.

In a tweet on Tuesday, the minister said that the two leaders do not even know what the suggestions were for the electoral reforms and Pakistan Media Development Authority (PMDA).

“The opposition in Pakistan has only one role and that is to oppose every action of the government and for the purpose it was ready to make an alliance with the devil,” he said.

Fawad further stated that it was unfortunate that decision of those who wanted to lead Pakistan were even taken by others.

A day earlier, Fawad had asked Shahbaz to bring his brother Nawaz Sharif back to Pakistan instead of bringing people to the federal capital.

In response to Pakistan Democratic Movement’s announcement to marching to the federal capital, the information minister said that there are also strong cases against Shahbaz Sharif and decisions on them are expected very soon.

He alleged that politics of PML-N were based on hypocrisy. He further said the whole world is speaking about the situation in Afghanistan but the PML-N has not issued a single statement on it.

Alluding to the internal rifts within the PML-N, Chaudhary Fawad Hussain advised the party president to focus on party’s internal politics.
