Pakistan Claims Major Gains in Operation Ghazbad

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk)- Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has shared details of Pakistan’s ongoing military campaign, referred to as Operation Ghazbad-ul-Haq, targeting positions linked to the Afghan Taliban.

According to the minister, Pakistani forces killed 481 operatives and injured more than 696 during retaliatory strikes. He stated that 226 Taliban check posts were destroyed and 35 were captured. Additionally, 198 tanks, armored vehicles, and artillery guns were reportedly neutralized.

Tarar further claimed that 56 locations inside Afghanistan were struck in coordinated air operations.

Meanwhile, a report by The New York Times alleged that Pakistan targeted the strategically significant Bagram Air Base during the operation. The publication reported that an aircraft hangar and two warehouses were destroyed, citing satellite imagery as evidence.

There has been no independent verification of the claims from Afghan authorities so far. The situation remains fluid, with regional security concerns continuing to mount.
