Bajaur cricketer Nizamuddin dominates Lahore Challenge Cup bowling charts

Islamabad (By Abdul Ghaffar Khan) — Emerging cricketer Nizamuddin has delivered a standout performance in the Lahore Challenge Cup, impressing selectors and cricket followers with his exceptional leg-googly bowling. Representing the East Zone of Lahore Region, the young spinner claimed 16 wickets in just four matches, finishing as the tournament’s leading wicket-taker among 30 participating teams.

Beyond his bowling brilliance, Nizamuddin has also shown solid all-round capabilities with the bat. Earlier in District Bajaur cricket, he enjoyed a remarkable season where he scored 427 runs and took 17 wickets. In another consistent campaign, he further strengthened his reputation by picking up 18 wickets.

Recently, he has made the decision to continue his cricketing journey with Lahore Region, a move widely viewed as an important step forward in his development. Cricket analysts believe this transition will help him refine his skills and gain exposure at a more competitive level.

Speaking to the media, Nizamuddin stated that his current focus is on performing in senior district Grade-II cricket and working hard to reach the highest level of the game. It is also notable that Nizamuddin has previously represented Pakistan WAPDA and has toured Malaysia, where he showcased his talent on an international platform. His recent form suggests that with continued opportunities, he could emerge as a strong contender for higher honors in domestic and potentially national cricket.
