Nine TTP Terrorists Killed in Hangu Operation; DPO Among Four Injured

Authorities confirmed that most of the killed terrorists were foreign nationals.

HANGU:  At least nine Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists were killed and eight others injured in a joint intelligence-based operation by police and Tall Scouts in Hangu’s Doaba area on Saturday.

The operation, launched in the early morning in Zargiri and surrounding areas, targeted TTP operatives linked to recent attacks. Four law enforcement officers, including Hangu District Police Officer (DPO) Khalid Khan, Doaba SHO Nabi Khan, a security official, and a Bomb Disposal Squad officer, sustained injuries.

According to Kohat RPO Abbas Majeed Marwat, two police and two Frontier Corps vehicles were attacked during the operation. The DPO underwent surgery at CMH Kohat and is in stable condition; other injured personnel are under treatment.

Authorities confirmed that most of the killed terrorists were foreign nationals. A clearance operation is ongoing, and daily counterterrorism efforts will continue until the region is secured. Residents have been urged to support law enforcement operations.
