New Zealand Defeats Pakistan 6-2 in FIH Nations Hockey Cup Final

Utilizing penalty corners and field goals effectively, New Zealand denied Pakistan any opportunity to recover

ISLAMABAD – New Zealand clinched the FIH Nations Hockey Cup title after defeating Pakistan 6-2 in the final match held in Malaysia.

The New Zealand team dominated the game from the very beginning, outclassing Pakistan in the first half with a commanding 5-0 lead. The Kiwis adopted an aggressive approach from the start, keeping constant pressure on the Pakistani defense.

Utilizing penalty corners and field goals effectively, New Zealand denied Pakistan any opportunity to recover. Although Pakistan managed to score two goals in the second half, it wasn’t enough to stage a comeback.

Pakistan had reached the final after defeating France in the semi-final, while New Zealand booked their spot by overcoming South Korea in a shootout in the other semi-final.

The final match kicked off at 6 PM local time in Kuala Lumpur, where a number of Pakistani fans were present in the stadium to support their national team.
