Nawaz Sharif Commends Shehbaz and Maryam for Economic Leadership
PML-N leader highlights government efforts in addressing economic challenges
Islamabad-(Staff Reporter): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif has praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for steering the country toward economic recovery.
The former three-time prime minister acknowledged the country’s ongoing economic challenges, describing them as some of the most significant obstacles Pakistan faces. He criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder for bringing back the International Monetary Fund (IMF), noting, “We had parted ways with the IMF, but it was the PTI founder who paved the way for its return.”
Sharif expressed optimism about the economic outlook, stating, “If progress continues in this direction, these hardships will be resolved soon.”
Reflecting on his removal from office in 2017, Nawaz Sharif remarked, “When the economy was strong during our government, the Supreme Court dismissed us. The public’s reaction to our ouster was not what we anticipated.”
