Naimal Khawar Responds to Body-Shaming and Pregnancy Rumors

ISLAMABAD: (Showbiz Desk) – Former actress Naimal Khawar Khan has spoken out against online body-shaming after recent wedding photographs prompted social media users to comment on her appearance and speculate about a possible pregnancy.

The discussion began after pictures of Naimal attending a wedding in Oslo, Norway, circulated online. Some social media accounts compared the candid images with older photographs and questioned whether she had gained weight or was expecting a child.

Naimal later reshared the discussion and criticized the growing tendency to scrutinize women’s bodies online. She described it as both “fascinating and sad” that people have become so comfortable commenting on a woman’s appearance.

She acknowledged that her own body has changed over the years, emphasizing that women do not necessarily look the same as they did several years ago. She also noted that motherhood can bring natural physical changes that outsiders may not fully understand.

Naimal highlighted several factors that can affect a woman’s body, including age, hormones, stress, health, lifestyle and pregnancy. Her message stressed that such changes should not automatically become a subject of public judgment or speculation.

The former actress also encouraged women not to feel pressured to maintain the same appearance they had in the past. She questioned the idea that changes in a woman’s body should be treated as entertainment or become a topic for strangers to debate.

Rather than confirming or denying the pregnancy rumors, Naimal redirected the conversation toward the broader problem of body-shaming and the lack of boundaries surrounding public figures’ personal lives.

Naimal has previously faced speculation regarding changes in her appearance, including unverified claims about cosmetic procedures. Her sister-in-law, dermatologist Dr Fazeela Abbasi, had addressed some of those claims in the past.

After marrying actor Hamza Ali Abbasi, Naimal stepped away from acting and has largely maintained a low-key public profile. She continues to share glimpses of her life and artwork with followers online and has previously clarified that leaving the entertainment industry was her personal decision.
