Momina Iqbal’s Husband Alleges Shooters Targeted Couple

ISLAMABAD: (Showbiz Desk) – Pakistani actress Momina Iqbal’s husband, Hamza Habib, has made a serious allegation against PML-N MPA Saqib Chadhar, claiming that shooters were allegedly arranged to target him and his wife.

The allegation comes amid an ongoing dispute involving Momina, her family and Chadhar. The matter has also reached the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), with accusations involving alleged online harassment, threats and blackmail. Both sides have presented conflicting accounts of the dispute.

In an Instagram story, Habib claimed that efforts to influence people had allegedly been followed by attempts to arrange shooters against the couple. He also posted a warning suggesting that those allegedly responsible would eventually face consequences.

Habib has previously spoken publicly about his relationship with Momina. In May, while appearing outside the Lahore High Court, he said Momina was his wife and described her as his “red line.”

He also alleged at the time that Chadhar had approached him and asked him to distance himself from Momina, claiming that money had been offered to convince him to end the relationship.

The dispute has also developed into a legal matter. Momina accused Chadhar of online harassment, cyberbullying, threats and blackmail. Following her complaint, the NCCIA registered a case against the lawmaker under relevant provisions of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act and the Pakistan Penal Code.

Chadhar has denied the allegations and has given his own account of the dispute. The issue remains under legal review, with both parties continuing to make claims against each other.

The controversy intensified this week after Chadhar claimed on social media that the NCCIA had cleared him. Habib disputed that assertion, saying the agency had instead ordered another investigation and questioning why an official notification confirming Chadhar’s alleged clearance had not been publicly released.

The NCCIA issued fresh notices to both Momina Iqbal and Saqib Chadhar on September 3 following the emergence of additional digital evidence.

The agency has formed a special investigation team to conduct a fresh inquiry. Chadhar has been summoned to appear on September 11, while Momina is scheduled to appear on September 14.

Authorities have stressed that it would be premature to declare either side guilty or innocent until the fresh investigation is completed.
